Police investigating aggravated robbery, Christchurch

Police are investigating the aggravated robbery of the petrol station at the intersection of Russley Road and Yaldhurst Road.

At around 11.35pm five people entered the store, threatened the store attendant and stole property.

They left the scene in a grey car.

That car was seen by Police on Ensors Road at around 1.45am.

The car was abandoned shortly after on Opawa Road and two of the occupants were arrested nearby.

Police are following positive lines of enquiry to locate all those involved.

Anyone who can help with information relating to any of three people yet to be located is being urged to contact Christchurch Police on (03) 363 7400.

The store attendant was not injured during the robbery but was shaken by the incident and is currently being supported by Police. Victim Support will be offered.
