1 min read

Police are now in a position to name the man who died in a workplace accident on a fishing boat yesterday morning.

The accident happened on the vessel which was working off the coast of Banks Peninsula at about 4am.

He was 26-year-old Steffan Antony Stewart of New Plymouth.

Our thoughts go out to the family of Mr Stewart at this sad time.

Police continue to work with the Transport Accident Investigation Commission (TAIC) and the matter will be referred to the Coroner.
