Police have released the names of the two people who died following an incident at a Dundas Road address in Whangarei in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Police launched a homicide inquiry after the bodies of a man and woman were discovered in the house about 12.30am.
The two people were: Brenda Nicola Gestro, aged 32 years, and Kim Douglas Larkins, aged 52 years. Both were from Whangarei.
The scene examination continues today with the assistance of specialist staff and the post mortems are being carried out in Auckland today.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths of the two people.
