Police Ten 7 viewers asked to help with Melville homicide

1 min read

Police want people to tune into Police Ten 7 tonight as we appeal for information about the homicide of Robert Nelson.

The 23-year-old died from injuries sustained during a shooting at an address on Matthews Crescent, Melville, Hamilton on July 8th at around 12:45am.

Another man and woman in the house were also seriously injured and are still recovering from their wounds.

“Tonight on Police Ten 7 we will be releasing some details about two vehicles seen in the area around the time of this attack,” says Detective Inspector Graham Pitkethley.

“I’m hopeful viewers will respond to our plea for more information about these vehicles as any information could be crucial to our investigation.

“We are determined to find those behind this attack and hold them to account for Mr Nelson’s death and the other two victim’s injuries.”

Watch Police Ten 7 at 7.30pm, TVNZ 2, tonight on Thursday 6th September and see how you can help.

If viewers miss Police Ten 7 or want to check the case details again, the segment will be on Police Ten 7 Facebook and Waikato Police District Facebook after the programme has screened tonight.
