Queenstown knifepoint robbery

Queenstown Police are continuing enquiries into the alleged aggravated robbery of Henry's Liquor Store, which occurred at approximately 6:45pm on Wednesday the 19th of August, and the subsequent alleged aggravated robbery of a member of the public, during which the offenders stole the victim’s BMW motor vehicle.

Following the robberies, two males aged 17 and 24 were apprehended in the Mooney's road area in Dalefield, Queenstown with the assistance of members of the public , helicopter search, and Police dog unit. Both males apprehended in Dalefield will appear in the Queenstown District Court this morning.  

Staff will be undertaking carious scene examinations this morning.

Police would like to thank the Queenstown public and Dalefield residents for their assistance during the apprehension of the two males.
