Saddle Road is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day following the LPG tanker rolling earlier this morning.
Emergency services were called to the crash near Cook and Morgan Roads at around 9am.
The driver was not injured.
The gas the truck was carrying will now be transferred to another tanker, a process expected to take a number of hours.
Once the gas has been transferred, a crane will be brought in to right the tanker.
Motorists are advised to use the alternative route of the Pahiatua Track, or delay their travel.
