The search for missing truck driver Stuart BARNES resumed at 8:30am today off SH1 in the Hundalees.
The search today is concentrating on the stream that runs along the bottom of the hill on which the crash occurred.
A 5 tonne digger has been lowered by crane into the stream bed and is currently working through foliage, truck debris and the stream itself.
The truck, as well as its freight, has now been recovered and has been transported to Christchurch for further examination.
