Police are carrying out further forensic examinations today and tomorrow as part of the investigation into the homicide of James Butler on Wikitoria Road, Whanganui on Sunday.
A specialist search group is carrying out an examination on Wikitoria Road and the Police National Dive Squad is searching in the Whanganui River.
Police are hoping to find weapons the offenders involved in James’ death may have discarded.
Anyone who may have information which could assist in this investigation is asked to contact Police.
