Second arrest following Hawke's Bay marae incident

A second arrest has been made following an incident at the Moteo marae last week.

Police were called to the marae in Puketapu, Hawke’s Bay about 10pm on Saturday 25 August following reports three people had been injured, one critically.

An 18-year-old Hastings man will appear in the District Court facing charges including wounding with intent.

This arrest follows the arrest of a 19-year-old man who appeared in Hastings District Court on Wednesday 29 August on charges of injuring with intent, and has been remanded in custody.

We are continuing to work our way through the events of last Saturday night.
