Canterbury Police and emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash involving three vehicles on SH1 Main South Road that occurred at approximately 11.20am this morning (26 January 2015).
SH1 Main South Road is currently closed and diversions are in place along Curraghs Road and Dawsons Road.
A truck and two cars are understood to have collided and some of the occupants are still trapped in their vehicles.
Initial reports are that two people have serious injuries and two have minor injuries. It is unknown at this early stage how long SH1 will be closed.
Police investigations into the crash are underway.
No further information will be released at this time.
