Suspicious fire in Cobden

West Coast Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Firth Street Cobden last night. 

A scene examination this morning has established that the fire was deliberately set in a vehicle at around 6:15pm last night.  The fire quickly evolved and the fire began to take hold of a house nearby.  Due to swift actions the house occupants, which included two young children, they were able to escape unharmed.  There is significant damage to both the car and house.

Police are pursuing lines of inquiry but would like to speak to anyone who has information in relation to this incident.  This includes any persons travelling in the proximity of Firth Street Cobden by any means between 6:00pm and 6:20pm on Monday night.
