At 9am this morning Taupo Police, with the assistance of the Tauranga Armed Offenders Squad, conducted an enquiry at a Tawa Street address.
Police were looking for a male who had a probations warrant.
As police were completing the enquiry at this address, the male arrived at the Taupo probations office to have the matter cleared.
Police would like to thank members of the public for their patience while streets in the area were closed.
Police would like to reassure the community that their safety was never at risk as this enquiry was carried out.
AOS were only used as a precaution for the safety of staff.
