Three charged with commercial Nelson burglaries

Three men will appear in the Nelson District Court today charged with commercial burglaries including the burglary of Heck German Smallgoods  butchery in Wakatu Estate prior to Christmas.

A small amount of property, including meat, has been recovered during search warrants this morning.

A 34 year old Brightwater man and a 37 year old Nelson man will face three burglary charges and a 22 year old Nelson man will face two burglary charges.

Sergeant Craig Barker said Police were aware that meat from the butcher's shop burglary had been sold around Nelson and he encouraged anyone who had purchased meat that may have been stolen to contact Police.
