Three men charged for Auckland train assault

Three men have now been charged in relation to an incident involving a group of men who were disguised with masks and aprons on an Auckland train in August.

The incident took place on Saturday 12 August, 2017 and involved two teenagers who were assaulted on-board the train.

A 35- year-old Papamoa man has been charged with Assault with Intent to injure and will appear in the Auckland District Court on 11 October, 2017.

A 32-year-old Rolleston man was charged with Assault and will appear in Auckland District Court on 10 October.

A 31-year-old Hamilton man has been charged with Indecent Exposure and will appear in the Auckland District Court on 5 October.

There has been a large amount of public interest in this case Police would like to thank the public for the information provided, and Transdev and Auckland Transport for their support.  These arrests will help provide reassurance to not only the victims,  but also other people travelling on our public transport network.

Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this matter.
