Two 16-year-olds will appear in the Hastings District Court tomorrow following a brazen robbery at a Napier supermarket this evening.

At approximately 5.45pm tonight the youths were seen acting suspiciously outside the Green Meadows Four Square in Gloucester Street.

A concerned witness called Police, who arrived quickly, and in time to see the offenders running from the store. Both youths, a male and a female, had presented weapons during the robbery.

The pair were tracked by a Police dog and handler and apprehended nearby.
