Update: Cyclist dies following Timaru crash

A cyclist who crashed in Timaru on the weekend has died in hospital.

Shortly after midnight on Sunday 12 August 2018, a 37-year-old woman riding a bicycle crashed on June Street.

She suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the Intensive Care Unit at Timaru Hospital.

The woman’s name is not yet available for release.

The Police Serious Crash Unit has completed a scene examination, and Police will continue to make enquiries on behalf of the Coroner.
