Statement attributable to Inspector Andrew Mortimore, Waikato Western Area Commander
Police are seeking information from the public following the death of a pedestrian on the Waikato Expressway yesterday.
The crash happened at around 7.30pm southbound on the Waikato Expressway north of the Horotiu turnoff. Police would like to hear from anyone who saw someone walking south on the Waikato Expressway last night in the area of the crash.
Inquiries are ongoing to identify the deceased however a vehicle has been located abandoned nearby.
