Warrant to Arrest issued for woman charged with Breach of Court Suppression

Canterbury Police have laid charges against a 34 year old New Zealand woman, who is currently residing in Australia, in relation to breaches of a Dunedin Court Suppression Order by posting information on a website and allegedly naming a prominent New Zealander.

The woman is charged with two counts of Breach of Suppression Provisions and Orders.  A Warrant to Arrest was issued by Christchurch District Court today (12 December 2014).

One man has already appeared in Waitakere District Court and another was formally warned by Police in Whangarei in relation to alleged breaches of the same court order.

The maximum penalties for breaching this type of court order are 6 month imprisonment or $100,000 fine for a Body Corporate.
