At approximately 2.30am on Saturday 6th February 2016, a 22 year old woman was assaulted on North Road, Dunedin by two men who were travelling in a red motor vehicle.
The vehicle was described by the victim as a red four door sedan, with mag wheels and a large spoiler on the boot.
At the time of the assault, a member of the public driving a flat deck utility with a white cab, drove past, saw the altercation and tooted his horn.
Police are appealing to the driver of the white utility vehicle or any one else who may have seen this assault, or anyone who has any information relating to the red vehicle involved in the assault, to contact them anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by calling the Dunedin Police Station on 03 471 4800.
