1 min read

Police have arrested a woman in connection with the assault on a French couple in Napier last night.

The woman is facing a charge of assault with intent to rob and police say more charges are likely.  Her male co-offender is still outstanding and police are appealing for information about him.

The French couple were assaulted when they were in their campervan in the Whakarire Ave carpark at the end of Westshore Beach in Napier about 10.45pm last night.

The male victim received injuries to his face and eye after he was pistol-whipped.  A baseball bat was also carried by the couple's attackers.
