Manaia Road, Te Kouma, Thames-Coromandel District.

Police are attending a crash where a car going down a hill on Manaia Road, Te Kouma in the Thames-Coromandel District crashed through a barrier and went down a bank, about 1 km south of the Te Kouma Rd turnoff.
The sole occupant and driver of the vehicle died at the scene.
The Serious Crash Unit are responding and will do a scene examination.
The road is not closed but police ask drivers to take care in the area.
