TRAGIC ACCIDENT CONCERNING 6 YEAR OLD.

At 2.30pm this afternoon Glen Innes Police attended the tragic death of a 6 year old female. The family of the 6 year old had been enjoying a touch tournament at a local education campus when the accident occurred. The 6 year old child has been crushed by a piece of sporting equipment causing extensive injuries. Ambulance were unable to revive her and family members at the scene are understandably very distraught by the tragic circumstances.

Direct next of kin have been informed. The Labour department and police will be co-ordinating this investigation.

The family have asked for RESPECT and PRIVACY during their grieving period.
