Marsden Cove Whangarei

A person has died when a small plane crashed in a paddock in Marsden Bay, in the Whangärei District.
Emergency services were alerted at around 3.55pm by a witness who saw the plane crash.
Police and Fire are in attendance, and the Civil Aviation Authority has been notified of the crash.
Initial reports indicate the plane was taking off from the paddock and crashed back into it shortly after take off.
