Counties Manukau Police have launched a homicide investigation after the death of a 29 year old woman at a Manurewa address overnight.

Police were called to an altercation at the address and on arrival discovered a deceased person at the house.

A number of people at the address have been assisting Police with their enquiries.

A 32 year old woman will appear in the Manukau District Court tomorrow charged with assaulting the deceased. Police enquiries are continuing and more serious charges may follow.

Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this incident and are appealing for anyone who was at the party and who has not yet been spoken to by Police to call the Counties-Manukau Police on 2611 300.
