Angela Maree Blackmoore was murdered on the night of Thursday 17 August 1995 in her home at 48 Vancouver Crescent, Wainoni, Christchurch. She was 21 years old and 9 weeks pregnant. Her two-and-a-half year old son was asleep in a bedroom.

Her boyfriend discovered her body when he came from work at 11.20pm that night. She was lying on the floor in the kitchen of the home they shared. She had been stabbed numerous times but a weapon has never been recovered.

Because of contacts she'd had that evening with other people it is believed she died sometime between 9.00 and 9.45pm.

There was no sign of forced entry and as Angela was known to be security conscious it is thought that she may have known her attacker. However the motive for her murder is still unclear.

The file on the murder of Angela Blackmoore is still open. Detective Todd Hamilton at Christchurch Central is keen to hear from anyone who may have any information that can assist identify Angela's killer.
