The Communicator passes information electronically to the Dispatcher, who coordinates the Police response.
The Dispatcher is in contact with Police units by radio, passing on the information you have given to the Communicator.
The Police arrive and handle the incident.
With all the information you supplied over the phone the officers on the scene are better prepared to handle the incident.
