Child Exploitation Team (Auckland)

Auckland City Police District runs a Child Exploitation Team - the only one of its type in the country.

The squad specifically targets four areas:

• Known or suspected paedophiles who are living in the community
• On-line sexual offending and intimidation against children, including cyber-stalking
• Commercial exploitation of children and young persons through prostitution
• Extra-territorial child sex offenders - those who travel to other countries to engage in sexual activity with children.

We require any information you may have on known or suspected offenders who fit into either of the above four categories.

Remember that paedophiles may also be involved in other deviant behaviours such as 'flashing', prowling and fetishism.
