Sharron Richards Profile
Police Communicator - South Comms

After spending 20 years at Christchurch Hospital before becoming a Communicator, Sharron Richards finds her new role is a breath of fresh air.
"The best thing about being a Communicator is that you just never know how exciting the next call is going to be - anything from a missing child or an all out domestic dispute, to disorder in the street or a missing purse."
There’s also the bonus of the "brilliant" working environment for Sharron. "I’ve never been anywhere like it - there’s so much team spirit," she says. "We’re always able to talk to each other, and if you ever need a hand there’s always someone right there."
On her rostered days off, Sharron likes to play tennis, go for walks, and get out into the sunshine as much as she can.
