Police Communicator - North Comms

Eight years as a Communicator for the Northern Communications Centre, and Vanessa still gets an adrenalin buzz from her work.

"In my previous job I got bored easily so I joined the police for better job satisfaction. I never get bored in this job!" Vanessa says.

"Aside from the excitement, it’s an amazing feeling to save someone’s life, especially to help stop people from taking their own lives." Vanessa  also feels satisfaction from contributing to the apprehension of offenders who rob the innocent.

However, she still maintains there's nothing more rewarding than spending time with her six-year-old son.
