Information for Customers of Licence Holders

As a customer of a licence holder you may notice a number of changes when you sell to a secondhand dealer or pledge items to a pawnbroker. These will predominantly relate to you being required to supply more detailed information to the dealer and being asked to provide photographic identification to confirm your identity. All secondhand dealers and pawnbrokers will be required to record your details and how they verified your identity before they can complete a transaction. So please, do not be offended, the secondhand dealers and pawnbrokers will only be complying with the law.
