Cam joined the PPDVP in April 2007 as the Programme Manager. He had been on the Management Team as the representative of the Pacific Islands Chiefs of Police secretariat where he had been the Executive Director for the previous three years.

Cam retired as a sworn NZ Police Superintendent in March 2007 after 35 years of service. This included a range of domestic policing tasks in New Zealand with an emphasis on 27 years of criminal investigations and criminal intelligence. He has led a number of police projects including the implementation of the national DNA databank; the development of intelligence projects for APEC and other international events; and the development of Combined Law Agency groups (CLAG's)in New Zealand law enforcement. Cam spent three years in Canberra as the NZ Police liaison officer over the times of the increase in national security operations including Bali bombings, and the RAMSI development.

Soni has 20 years policing service, he has been the Officer in Charge of the CIB office, specialised in criminal investigations including serious crime, child physical & sexual abuse and Pedophilia, worked at the National Bureau of Criminal Intelligence at Police HQ and as the Officer in Charge of the Child Abuse and Pedophile Squad at Wellington. Soni is the 'Programme Officer' at Inspector level on the programme, responsible for the Regional component of the programme and manages regional networks amongst Pacific countries as well as having a specific focus on facilitating cross country study tours, region training and manages the funds assistance for participating countries while supporting the programme managers role. Soni is studying towards a Masters degree in Public Management

Kim is the support officer for the programme, Kim is a trained analyst and has been in the police as a non sworn officer for 21 years, Kim has worked in Auckland, Palmerston North and Wellington, she has extensive experience as a tactical analyst and has been involved in a number of national projects, she has also worked in the intelligence field while at Police National Headquarters. Kim provides an overall support role to the programme administratively and logistically.

Country mentors

Mr John Robinson is the country mentor for the Cook Islands. Mr John Robinson the country mentor for the Cook Islands, is currently the Policing Development Manager for Tasman District. John holds a Master of Arts degree and has been involved in developing a range of Domestic Violence initiatives in his District. John has been a trainer at the Royal New Zealand Police College and is currently based in Nelson at District Headquarters.

Jim Sole is the country mentor for Kiribati. Jim Sole the country mentor for Kiribati, is currently sectional Sergeant and the local Domestic Violence co-coordinator. Jim is an extremely experienced police officer who has experience in previously provided training and advice on Domestic Violence issues in the Pacific. Jim is currently based at the Ashburton police station.

Haley is the country mentor for Tonga. Haley Ryan joined the New Zealand Police in 1997 and has work in the frontline General Duties and CCU Wellington and is now a Detective working in the Sexual Assault and CAT based in Upper Hutt CIB. Haley is the country mentor for Tonga and taking over the role from Detective Sergeant Tusha Penny.

Karen is the Community Engagement Manager in Wellington. Inspector Karen Smith is the Community Engagement Manager in Wellington. She has previously held a position as the Domestic Violence Co-ordinator for the Southern District. Karen holds a number of tertiary qualifications and experience in sole charge and country stations, community policing and general duties. Karen has represented New Zealand in hockey.
