Police in Horowhenua are investigating an alleged home invasion in Levin during the early hours of Monday 20th March.

At about 3:30am, the victim was woken in her Trafalgar Street home by two males. One was armed with a machete and he has threatened the victim by saying things along the lines of  “I’m going to cut your throat”.

Another male entered her bedroom and she was bound lying face down on the floor. The victim was absolutely petrified throughout this ordeal.

The males took electronic items from the address as well a grey Nissan Murano. This car was recovered on Tararua Road but the keys are still outstanding so Police are appealing for anyone who has found these keys.

Police are also appealing for the people captured on CCTV in Nelson Street prior to the home invasion to come forward. They’re not saying they are involved in this case but they could have vital information.
