Police in Waitakere are investigating three alleged aggravated robberies that they believe could be linked.

The first robbery occurred on Sunday 2nd October 2016 at the Pins Bowling Alley in Henderson. Two men, armed with a silver double-barrelled shotgun, entered during closing time and made off with cash.

On Friday 28th October 2016, the second robbery occurred at the Te Atatu Tavern in Te Atatu Peninsula where again, two men armed with a silver double-barrelled shotgun, held up a staff member at gunpoint.

The third and most recent robbery took place on Sunday 9th April 2017 at the Western Lights Tavern, where two men, armed with a silver double-barrelled shotgun, entered through the rear door and robbed the staff of cash and personal possessions.

On all three occasions, the males entered at closing time and the firearm was described as being very similar in each robbery.
