Police in Counties Manukau are investigating two alleged aggravated robberies at the Karaka Caltex, where Police believe the same people could have been involved.

At about 3:24am on Monday 15th May, four people arrived at the service station in a stolen silver Mazda Atenza and after smashing their way in, they have stolen cash and cigarettes. On this occasion, the staff member has been violently beaten by one of the males.

Almost seven weeks later, at about 5:18am on Sunday 2nd July, three people arrived in a stolen silver Subaru Impreza and after smashing their way through the night pay window, have stolen cash and cigarettes before decamping in the stolen Subaru.

These alleged robberies have very similar modus operandi so Police believe they could be linked.

The males have taken off with a large quantity of cigarettes so Police want to hear from people who have come in contact with anyone with a large amount of cigarettes around the 15th May and/or 2nd July.
