Comms Centres National Manager appointed

Superintendent Steve Fitzgerald has been appointed to the position of Communications Centre National Manager.

“ In his previous role as National Road Policing Manager, Steve’s leadership in the vital area of road policing – where significant gains have been made over recent years – helped earn him the position,” says Deputy Commissioner Steve Long.

Steve took over as Communications Centre National Manager on Monday 20 June, replacing Superintendent Mike Wilson who has been the Interim Manager since May this year.

Mike will continue to work closely with Steve and the National Communications Centre Advisory Board to help implement the recommendations from the Independent Review Panel (IRP) report into Communications Centres, released in May.
