RAMSI marks 2nd anniversary
NZ Police Commissioner Rob Robinson was in the Solomon Islands
recently to take part in celebrations to mark the second anniversary
of the
Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI)...

Rob joined with other senior police representatives from Australia
and the Pacific to celebrate the partnership to provide operational
policing and training assistance to the Royal Solomon Islands Police.
The Australian-led RAMSI law enforcement operation began on 24 July
2003 and includes a multi-national Participating Police Force (PPF)
made up of 11 Pacific nations. Currently 31 NZ Police staff are deployed
to the PPF.
