Policing out in the field

In an age of information overload, sometimes you've just got to get out there and take the message to the people - face to face.

And that's exactly what Police's Recruiting and Communications Centre staff did at the recent Mystery Creek Fieldays in Hamilton.

Thousands of people attend the event and, as in previous years, Police has discovered it's an ideal venue to talk with Kiwis about different aspects of policing.

This year, a suited gorilla spread the recruiting message and the Communications Centre interactive display showed people exactly what happens when they make an emergency call to Police.
