Sharp young eye wins MP3

Nine-year-old Simone Ryan, from the Wellington suburb of Whitby, used her eagle eye to win a community policing ‘spot the difference’ competition at the recent Royal New Zealand Police College Open Day.

Simone’s was the first correct entry drawn from nearly 1000 entries to locate, on a poster, all the things people can do to prevent crime and make their property safer. She won an MP3 player for her effort.

The community policing stand promoted the Police vision of ‘safer communities together’ and helped raise public awareness of the refreshed approach to community policing.

Simone was one of more than 7000 members of the public who enjoyed the Open Day displays and attractions from all areas of Police.
