‘Operation Deans’ – Police’s response to the terrorist attack on March 15, 2019 – was Police’s largest, most complex response operation to date.

The review considers how police responded operationally at the time of the attack and provides an overview of events in the first 48 hours.

The review was undertaken by an independent panel consisting of Nick Kaldas, retired Deputy Police Commissioner, New South Wales Police; Michael Heron QC, former Solicitor General; and Jeff Ashford, Director Centre for Lifelong Learning, Victoria University of Wellington.
