Police investigating the murder of Mark Burns have widened the area where local inquiries are being carried out.

Detective Senior Sergeant David Pearson said more than 10 staff were dedicated to carrying out local area inquiries around Reliable Way and its neighbouring streets, with more staff expected to assist with that phase of the investigation tomorrow.

&#34We’ve also still got staff at Mr Burns’ Massey home, checking everything there to see whether that offers us any clues about his death,&#34 Mr Pearson said.

&#34We now know of three sightings of Mr Burns between 11am on Wednesday September 3 and Thursday September 4 at 11am.&#34

Unfortunately, the friend he visited in Whitford had his days muddled and now believes he saw Mark Burns on Wednesday last week at about 11am, not Thursday as earlier reported.

&#34There is a further reported sighting of him at a Royal Oak Motel at about 9.30pm that night.

&#34Following on from that, he was seen briefly by a workmate at Allied Workforce, Lincoln Rd, Henderson, at about 11am last Thursday.&#34

Mr Pearson said Police were anxious to hear from anyone who saw Mark Burns any time after 11 o’clock on the morning of September 4.
