Hastings Police Investigate Dairy Robbery

Around 6:33pm on Thursday 26 August 2004 a robbery occurred at the Windsor Park Store on the corner of Windsor Avenue and Louie Street in Hastings.

A male person armed with an iron bar entered the store at this time; demanded cash and was given an undisclosed amount.

He left the store and was seen to run down Windsor Avenue towards Heretaunga Street east and got into a parked vehicle in Windsor Avenue.

The description of the offender is as follows:
- male maori
- 5 foot 6 - 5 foot 8 in height
- slim build
- 20 to 25 years of age
- short shaved hair.
- wearing a blue hooded top/sweatshirt
- wearing a white balaclava and possibly grey gloves at the time of the robbery.

The description of the vehicle, which the offender got into, is as follows:
- 4 door vehicle
- front passenger headlight either dim or not working
- unfortunately no colour or make is known

Detective Kris Eckhold would like to speak to anybody who has any information about this robbery or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity around the dairy about this time.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen a vehicle with the front passenger light either dim or not working, in the area.
