Boy knocked off bicycle

1 min read

Police were called to a medical centre this week to see a boy who had been knocked off his bike by a driver who did not stop.

At 4.30pm on Tuesday 25th October police were sent to the Aymes Road Medical centre in Hornby to see a 12 year old Asian boy who had been knocked off his bike.

He was riding home from school and had just come over the Main South Road over bridge when a car has hit him causing him to fall off his bike. His injuries aren't serious but he suffered grazing, some moderate bruising, and also ripped his school jersey.

The driver of the offending vehicle didn't stop and neither did anyone else. The offending vehicle was a silver coloured car.

Police are appealing for any witnesses.

"This is a busy road," says Constable Kevin Grant. "Hopefully someone may have seen the incident."

The incident is believed to have happened between about 3.30 -4.15 pm, Tuesday 25 October.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Sydenham Police Station phone 3632500.
