Police seek possible witnesses to robbery

Police investigating an aggravated robbery in Feilding are trying to trace the occupants of a car who may witnessed the incident.

The robbery occurred on Sunday, 9 January at approximately 3:15am in central Feilding on Manchester Street between the clock tower and Bowen Street.

Two men were in their vehicle when they were stopped in the middle of the road by a group of up to five young men. They were beaten and robbed of cash while they were still in their car.

Four men aged between 17 and 23 years have been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery.

Security footage obtained has shown that another car was in the area at a similar time and may have seen the assault occur or a group standing around the victims' car.

Police are looking for assistance in identifying the occupants of the car. If any one recalls that they were driving on Manchester Street in Feilding on the early hours of the morning of 9 January they can contact Detective Felicity Mansell at the Feilding Police Station on 06 3236363.
