Man killed in bulldozer accident is named

A farmer who died yesterday when the bulldozer he was using went down a bank into a gully has been named as Malcolm Alexander Squire from Tokomaru.

Mr Squire, aged 54, was using the bulldozer on his farmland to carve out a track and when he failed to return home as usual around 6pm family members went looking for him.

Around 7.30pm when they located Mr Squire and the bulldozer down a gully they immediately called for emergency services.

Department of Labour and the Coroner have been advised.
