Two valuable garden urns stolen

1 min read

Two valuable garden urns were stolen from a Victoria Street antiques dealer in a theft which must have involved several people.

The two terracotta garden urns are valued at $3300 each. At 170cm by 2 metres they would have needed at least two people to lift and carry them away.

Detective Constable Karen Simmons says that bolt cutters would have been needed to get into the centre and a truck to transport the urns.

The very distinctive and easily identified urns disappeared sometime between 20-25 January 2006.

Anyone who sights them or has any information is asked to contact Detective Constable Karen Simmons at Christchurch Central CIB, phone 363 7400.
