Christchurch Police are seeking public help to find 16-year-old Joshua Green who hasn't been seen since he left his Casebrook home in the city's northern suburbs over a week ago.

Senior Constable Malcolm McIntyre, Christchurch Police Youth Aid Officer, said Joshua has no legitimate means of supporting himself and hasn't been seen or heard from by family and friends police have been in contact with since he left on 28 April.

Joshua is described as European, short dark hair and medium build. He's likely to be wearing jeans and a hoodie sweatshirt, the colour of which is unknown.

"His disappearance is a bit of a concern as he doesn't have money, bank accounts, a phone or access to a vehicle," Senior Constable McIntyre said. "We know that he seeks out the company of other young people in skate parks, the Northlands Mall, other shopping areas and the central city.

"If anyone has seen him or knows where he is, then please contact Christchurch Central Police on 03 363 7400 as we, his family and friends are concerned."
