In the early hours of yesterday morning there was a house fire at Cumnor Tce. There was no one in the house at time. The fire is being treated as arson.
At about 1.30am Wednesday 5 April, a young female in her mid twenties, flagged down a motorist on Cumnor Tce. He was a male maori driving a Rav 4 or something similar. He assisted her with raising the alarm says Detective Constable James Simpson.
Detective Constable Simpson says the man helped the woman and Police would like him to contact them. He is only being sought as a witness.
