Media Advisory - New Access Point for Media

1 min read

A new access route for media has been put in place.

Media must now access the central city only via the Police cordon at the corner of Moorhouse Avenue and Montreal Street. This is on the south side of the central city.

The access route to the Art Gallery is Montreal Street - Left into Cashel Street - Right into Rolleston Avenue - Right into Gloucester Street.

The previous access point at the Bealey Avenue/Montreal Street corner has been closed because of a dangerous building.

Note: News media are reminded that they must remain at the Art Gallery only. Media may not go to any other area within the central city cordon, other than on the authorised bus tours.

Any media found in other areas inside the cordon without specific Police authorisation will be instructed to return to the Art Gallery, and risk being arrested for breach of the emergency cordons.
