Christchurch pedestrian death - name released

Christchurch police have released the name of a pedestrian killed at an intersection in Addington yesterday.

She was Elizabeth Anne ROLLINSON (known as Anne), age 59, of Addington.

Police say it appears she was crossing at traffic signals when she was struck by a truck and trailer unit which was turning left from Lincoln Road into Barrington Street at 07:16 hours on Tuesday.

Several witnesses have come forward as a result of media reports and Police are gaining a better insight into what happened in the incident. No decision has yet been made on whether charges are likely to be laid.

The family wishes to pass on their thanks and gratitude to the people in the area at the time who assisted at the scene
