1 min read

A 34 year old male has been charged with arson following an incident at a Christchurch Service station this afternoon.

At 2.50pm the male went into the Caltex Service Station on Lincoln Road and borrowed a petrol can. He filled it then doused the forecourt with petrol and set it alight.

An off duty senior fire officer who happened to be present put the fire out. Police have arrested the man and charged him with arson.
